Temple of Sri Naina Devi

This is a very famous religious spot. This temple has a strong historical connect – even religious scriptures mention this temple in it. 51 Shakti Peeths are there in India and this is one among them. The mythological relevance of this temple is that Shiva carried Sati’s burned body after her demise. Sati’s eyes fell from it, to the location where this temple is currently seen, and therefore this temple worships the Goddess in eye-form.
