Enjoy the Process and Not Only the Goal When Playing Escape Room Games

The goal of escape room games is quite simple. You will go inside the room, solve puzzles and challenges, and make it out in time. You need to move quickly since you need to find lots of clues until you achieve your goal.

Although it helps that you are smart in figuring out the clues or quick in moving from one place to another, the problem is that you might become obsessed with the achievement of the goal. You eventually forget to enjoy the process. Therefore, even if you win, it does not feel that way.

You have an entire hour to finish the game. You will be inside a tastefully decorated room. You will try to solve puzzles and other challenges. You also need to work with other people to come out on top. The entire experience is fun and unforgettable. Take time to appreciate the journey and avoid putting yourself under intense pressure. If you make it on time, it is a bonus; otherwise, it is okay since you enjoyed the game anyway.

Pressure could make you lose focus

Another reason why you need to enjoy the process rather than obsess about the goal is that you want to take the pressure away. Once you feel the need to win, you start getting distracted. There are times when you know the correct answer to the puzzle or where to find the next clue, but you get mentally blocked. You might even become stiff and fail to move quickly.

The desire to win could prevent teamwork

The risk of getting too obsessed with winning is that you might put intense pressure on other members of your team to do well. You might even blame them for being too slow. Before the game is over, you are fighting against one another. It continues even after the game is over. You did not play for this reason. You want to boost your ability to work with a team and not to cut ties with them. Imagine if you played with your office colleagues. Perhaps, the goal of your boss was to enhance your collaboration within the team. It would be frustrating if the opposite happens.

You will look back at the exciting moments

Once you finish the game, you will not only talk about the results. You will also look back at the funniest instances when you played it. You will tease those who stumbled or fell while running. You will laugh at your incorrect answers to the clues. If you do not enjoy the process because your eyes are only on the prize, you might not even recall a fun moment while playing.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to win as long as you do not forget to enjoy the experience. You do not get this chance all the time. If you want to play with your friends or colleagues, you can check out the Huxley 2 room escape game. You will not regret this experience.
